As I have began watching baseball a little bit more, one of my closest friends invited me out to Houston to go watch the Astros play. Kinda crazy isn't it?
Some more parts were further designed and refined, but unfortunately, I came into one of the not so great experiences I have seen with my printer thus far.
Gambit
I woke up early this morning to get some prints in before I left to Houston for the day. The first print I got done was the part that would envelop the rod holder that I have. Once the print was complete, I found that my tolerances were just short of being perfect.
I quickly redesigned the part and a few others to match my needs to almost complete the gantry system. For the first time, I put numerous parts on for a single print. Found that was not the best idea. The print would go on to take about 8 hours, and I would have to leave it unmonitored as I was leaving to Houston.
As you can see, one of the prints turned into messy hair. From now on, I will try to make the prints have one component at a time, and if not, for me to at least be present. It's a shame to see some plastic go to waste.
Astros
For the first time in Texas, I was able to go watch a baseball game in person. It was an amazing experience with some amazing people.
Although it was an amazing time, it was a bittersweet moment. Here would be likely the last time for a while that I would see two people that mean a lot to me. They soon will be embarking on their journey of becoming full-time employees. They have made a drastic impact on me in the short time that I have been able to call them friends.
I know they will go on to accomplish amazing things in their careers and continue to impact people as they have impacted me.
Habit Tracking
Today, I journaled, worked out, read, tracked my caloric intake, and worked on at least one of my personal projects. Today was a good day.
What I am thankful for
I am thankful for Alberto & Kelly. Thank you for being there, and I wish you both nothing but the best. Until our paths cross again!
